Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the scientific article is to study the application of methods for identifying the financial condition for the enterprises of the machine-building industry

Design/methodology/approach. The basic principles of research are the use of mathematical approaches, and diagnostic methods.

Findings. As a conclusion, it is necessary to develop measures to improve the financial condition on the basis of automation of calculations using modern technologies. To develop recommendations for improving the financial condition of the companies under consideration, we proposed an optimization model that allows maximizing the integral indicator by managing the structure of economic assets and sources of their financing within the limits of permissible structural changes.

Research limitations/implications. In the framework of this study, for the purpose of solving an integrated assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise, it was proposed to use methods of fuzzy mathematics. As a result, the boundaries of the four classes of stability were obtained, which made it possible to identify the current state of the enterprises under consideration

Originality/value. In practice, this will help to resolve the list of tasks that arise during diagnosis. To verify the reliability of the results, we conducted a comparative analysis with the legally approved method of discriminant analysis of the potential beneficiary of the investment project. As a result, a highly correlated direct link was found between these models.
